The Purefecta filter is a medical-grade microbiological purifier built for the Kinetico K5 Pure Ultra Reverse Osmosis System, and is the name of one of the filter cartridges in the filtration system. It is certified by the WQA to remove more than 99.99% of viruses and 99.99999% of bacteria, suitable for complete peace of mind against contaminants.

The VOC guard is another name for one of the cartridges in the filtration system. It protects against volatile organic compounds like pesticides and chemicals. Whereas the reverse osmosis membrane filters out most contaminants, the VOC Guard essentially traps microscopic chemical compounds that can sometimes bypass normal filtration systems.
