Spring will be here before we know it, and then we will all be madly cleaning to spruce up our homes before the warm weather arrives. Our homes can be filled with hundreds of different chemicals from various cleaning products, we will look at the ways you can reduce the nasties in your home.
Use natural cleaning products – Is it organic?
Looking for organic household cleaning brands such as Ecover and Delphis eco is a fail-safe way to avoid most of the nasty chemicals that are in many household products.
Bin the artificial air fresheners
Essential oils can be used in many ways to make your home smell wonderful. The easiest way to create a room diffuser is to add a few drops of your favourite scent to cotton wool and place it in a jar, there are hundreds of ideas online, and they will save you a fortune too!
Open the windows – let the outside in!
May sound simple but recirculating the air is very important!
Get rid of that limescale!
Softened water leaves bathrooms and kitchens clean and shiny, reducing the need for cleaning products such as Calgon and Viakal. Soft water starts to remove existing limescale not only on your taps but also cleans inside your pipework, and you won’t have to de-scale the kettle!
